The Senior Manager of Commercial Services Finance will report to the Senior Director of Commercial Services Finance and will oversee financial reporting, analysis, and business support activities for Hilton's Commercial Services organization, including Sales, Revenue Management, Distribution, Commercial Services Support, and Commercial Analytics. The Senior Manager will play the role of supporting business partner and advisor for the Global Commercial Services leadership team, analyzing business challenges, devising and presenting solutions, and executing strategies to deliver against global priorities. What will I be doing?The Senior Manager of Commercial Services will oversee the generation of monthly Actuals and Forecast reports for the department managers and Commercial Services leaders in accordance with financial close calendar. The Senior Manager will provide financial support in developing and maintaining monthly forecasts for department leaders.Other key priorities are listed below:Assess performance against target and recommends corrective actions as necessary Coordinate the development and/or modifications to performance reporting, focusing on cost drivers, trends, and identifying corrective action Oversee FTE tracking process for all of Global Brands and Commercial Services organization, including monthly reconciliation, reporting, and ad-hoc analysis Oversee the use of PeopleSoft, Hyperion and other systems and applications to enter data and/or process information, this will include the definition and implementation of systems processes and policies that are not yet in use Own documentation, reporting, and evaluation of allocation processes internal to Commercial Services, coming in and out of Commercial Services, and educate stakeholders on opportunities and sensitivities to streamline and/or automate such allocations Effectively communicate, with the ability to clearly and concisely express ideas both verbally and in writing Provide support to Finance management in preparation for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reviews as well as Investment Committee and Board submissions Research and respond to information requests from internal departments and management Direct supervision of two financial analysts supporting the Commercial Services organization Develop and educate all direct reports in the areas financial reporting, capital reporting, internal controls, and fund management Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with project managers as well as functional business leaders Collaborate with Finance leadership and management to establish specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish project/department goals Hold and attend meetings pertinent to work assignments and addresses topics of need Oversee the process for the development and the prioritization of the Commercial Services annual operating budget Develop standardized financial models and valuation scenarios to categorize, evaluate, prioritize and force rank strategic initiatives in conjunction with Commercial leaders, functional business leads, and Commercial Services Governance Interact with senior corporate and functional management in the development of priorities, targets, assumptions, and strategic issues to be incorporated into the Commercial Services budget and planning process Support senior and functional teams as well as IT Finance the building of the annual funded capital plan as it relates to Commercial Services Define and standardize global processes and best practices within Finance as it relates to reporting, budgeting, and forecasting Establish a clear calendar and instructions for planning assumptions setting, targets, guidance, reviews, and due dates Identify and evaluates business opportunities for Commercial Services in conjunction with GBCS Finance leadership Provide analytical support to departmental leaders in modeling planned or proposed strategic initiatives Analyze financial, statistical, and operational data through NPV analysis, trending, or other financial analysis methods Lead ROI and business case processes in order to assess the financial implications of Commercial Services initiatives Develop presentations that compare data, highlight risks, and focuses on qualitative and quantities issues Support other corporate initiatives, including, but not limited to, financial systems-related projects Enforce policies and procedures that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the department and Company Examine the needs and concerns of financial reporting, internal controls, and governance to determine opportunities or problem areas and develops policies, procedures, methods and/or standards to remediate issues Collaborate with HR on the recruiting, selecting, hiring, training, and developing of Team Members What are we looking for?To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:BA/BS Bachelor's Degree A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Financial Analysis, Controller area or business unit finance role A minimum of one (1) year of management experience Demonstrated ability to interact at all levels of management and effectively present to senior and executive management Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely express ideas both verbally and in writing Excellent financial analysis skills; Ability to analyze financial data to identify trends/issues, draw conclusions, and make recommendations Excellent interpersonal skills that build trust and instill confidence in order to motivate and influence others Absolute discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information Ability to take initiative to identify, prioritize and implement all elements required for team to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with core strategic goals Strong problem solving skills, including ability to effectively address any issue in collaboration with others as appropriate;
