Manager, Special Projects
BASIC PURPOSE:Responsible for providing support for the Director, Special Projects in the areas of research and reporting, managing internal and external resources, and developing relationships to further SourceAmerica's mission of creating employment opportunities and choices for people with significant disabilities. The special projects team within Government Affairs is focused on establishing long-term sustainability and increased social impact of SourceAmerica's network through community organizing and strategic planning (ie Social Enterprises of the Future initiative) and establishing relationships with individuals and organizations critical to the future of employment for people with significant disabilities. A key area of focus is the role of regulations in shaping the future, and how they are influenced by partnerships between the public, private and social sectors.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:* Managing the work of internal/external parties conducting research (as appropriate) on topics directly related to employment for people with disabilities and public policy* Developing comprehensive reports of research findings with suggested courses of action to support decision making* Using business intelligence software to support analysis for Government Affairs special projects* Developing implementation and measurement plans for Government Affairs special projects* Management support of relationships with external parties - duties include coordinating events, managing action items, developing briefings and direct interaction (as appropriate) * Required travel as scheduled* Other duties as assignedSKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:* Project management* Research* Creative problem solving* Interpersonal skills* Microsoft Office Suite (emphasis on Word and Excel)* Business intelligence software (ie IBM COGNOS, Tableau etc.)* Organizational and communication skills* Ability to work independently and as part of a teamSourceAmerica is an Equal Opportunity Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
