Embassy Suites Washington DC Georgetown is looking to add a new member to their property operations leadership team! A Property Operations Manager is responsible for managing the functionality and safety of the facility to protect the well-being of all guests and team members in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. This position will also handle the management of security & loss prevention at the property.Embassy Suites Washington DC has 319 guest suites and is a dual property with the District Club by Hilton Grand Vacations. This position will report to the Director of Property Operations and oversee a team of 6 Property Engineers. This person must be flexible to work all shifts as deemed necessary by hotel occupancy, primarily 3pm-midnight, weekends included.What will I be doing?As Property Operations Manager, you would be responsible for managing the functionality and safety of the facility to protect the well-being of all guests and team members in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:Manage the functionality and safety of the facility, including, but not limited to, physical buildings, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, heating and cooling systems, life safety systems and grounds according to federal, state and local regulationsConduct facility inspections and direct general construction and the installation, maintenance and repair of all electrical, mechanical and architectural systems throughout the facility to ensure operational efficiency and safetyAssign, verify and document completion of all routine maintenance and repairs in the property maintenance management systemCommunicates with city/county/state officials to ensure the proper maintenance of permits and licenses, to coordinate required inspections and to ensure full compliance with codes, regulations and safety standards to protect the well-being of all guests and team members.Assists in the execution of capital projects and property rehabilitations.Monitor team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations, providing professional development and delivering recognition and rewardRecruit, interview and train team membersAct as liaison between hotel and vendors to review and assess latest hotel technology and products related to facility efficiencyWhat are we looking for?Requirements:Basic understanding of HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems2 years supervisory experiencePrevious hotel experience strongly preferredComputer proficiencyPreferred Qualifications:Hotel experiencePrevious property operations or hotel engineering experienceHilton brand experiencePrevious manager level experienceSince being founded in 1919, Hilton has been a leader in the hospitality industry.
