GDIT is seeking an Operations/Sustainment Engineer to support a large government contract. The ideal candidate will have experience with Linux and technical troubleshooting techniques supporting an operations team. The operations team is responsible for supporting break-fix, sustainment, continuous monitoring, and PKI enablement functions.



This position requires off hours/on call support for one week every two to three months.

Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

Qualifications 8-10 years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis.


Required Skills:

    Linux management through the command line and use of command line text editorLinux patching methods and procedures (Especially Red Hat)Experience using a ticket management system (Example: JIRA, Remedy, HP Service Manager)General knowledge of networking concepts, topology, and principles Understanding of troubleshooting techniques and system maintenance methodsStrong customer service skills
