Develops and maintains sales activity from new and existing accounts within a specific sales territory.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Manages existing customer base in sales territory for continuous improvement in customer satisfaction.Makes regularly scheduled sales calls to existing accounts as required and agreed upon with customer.Identifies and capitalizes on growth opportunities in existing accounts.Identifies target accounts in sales territory.Develops and executes plan to convert target accounts into customers.Increases pricing in all product lines on an annual basis.Establishes annual price increases with all customers.On quoted orders, uses corrugated quote guide and provides quote to customer service with the incoming order.Obtains purchase orders from customer and provides to customer service with the incoming order.Reports customer problems, disputes or any issues of significant concern to branch management and participates in the timely and satisfactory resolution of such matters.Submits weekly sales call reports or weekly updates as required by supervisorQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A Bachelor's degree (BA) is a plus; death care industry is strongly preferred. Must have basic computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.)Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Contact Management systems; Internet software; Excel Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsCurrent and Clean Drivers LicenseOther Qualifications Must be able to travel 90% locally and up to 50% overnightPhysical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
