Are you an experienced Customer Care Specialist looking for a new opportunity with a prestigious healthcare company? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions - Customer Care Specialist position is for you! Daily Responsibilities: Include both inbound and outbound calls (totaling on average about 60/day). Inbound calls could consist of an enrollee wanting to be transferred to his/her Behavioral Healthcare Coordinator, from a provider facility, from a facility where a potential enrollee would like more information on the program/benefits. Outbound calls are from referrals. Facilitates department workflow by supporting clinical team with various care coordination workflows. Locates community services and other referral locations for enrollees, arranges access to care, supports communication with hospitals, and providers. Provides non-clinical support to workflows involving utilization management, case management, disease management, and health promotion. Trouble shoots for the clinical team when an appropriate provider, type of service, or appropriate level of care cannot be readily found. Researches availability of community services in order to link members to appropriate services. Assists in transitions in care for hospitalized patients and makes appropriate placements as needed. Assumes responsibility for self-development and career progression. Assists in the mentoring and training of new Care Workers. Remains responsible for updating self on ever changing information to ensure accuracy when dealing with members and providers. Coordinates and manages distribution of correspondence and materials to enrollees and providers. Requirements: Associates degree required Understanding of health insurance benefit structures, psychiatric terminology, local community and provider resources Retail and/or sales experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to multi-task Positive, upbeat and very ENGAGING with potential enrollees Computer Proficient: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook; ability to talk/type simultaneously; able to navigate through multiple systems and work on multiple monitors Hours for this Position: 40 hours per week; must be flexible to working 1 weekend day per week and late shifts during the week Hours of operation are Sunday 12pm-5pm; Monday-Thursday 8am-9pm; Friday 8am-6pm and Saturday 9am-2pm Training will be 2 weeks long and will be Monday-Friday daytime hours Advantages of this Opportunity: Competitive salary, negotiable based on relevant experience Benefits offered, Medical, Dental, and Vision Fun and positive work environment Interested in being considered?
