Our client is seeking a Recruiter in the Washington, DC metro area. Primary Responsibilities: Confers with management and supervisors to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills. Write and edits job descriptions The Recruiter develops recruitment programs and budgets to attract applicants and to fill specific job openings. Develops and maintains network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates. Initiates contact with qualified candidates for specific job openings and follow up communication The Recruiter reviews applications, screen applicants and conduct interviews to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements. Refers qualified candidates for additional interviews with team members as required. Develops recruitment programs, budgets, and collateral, such as company brochures about the organization and its career and hiring opportunities. The Recruiter writes and places job advertisements in various media. Develops, writes and coordinates internal job positions Develops and maintains contacts with schools, alumni groups, and other public organizations to find and attract applicants. The Recruiter makes public presentations at schools, organizations, and job fairs regarding the organization and opportunities. Works with external recruiters and employment agencies to identify and recruit candidates. Utilizes Internet online recruiting sources to identify and recruit candidates. Provides information on company facilities and job opportunities to potential applicants. Arranges travel and lodging for out-of-town applicants. Performs reference and background checks on applicants Initiates drug test and interprets results Inform candidates of company's decision Compose offer letters and negotiate salaries and benefits Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. Other duties as assigned.Qualifications: The recruiter should be familiar with various Applicant Tracking Systems, HRIS, Taleo, MS Office Suite, iCIMS and have strong IT skills or background recruiting for IT positions. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
