Human Resources AssistantPosition Summary:The purpose of this position is to provide day-to-day administrative support to the Human Resources Manager and other department personnel. The role would include assistance with recruiting, hiring, employee orientations, benefits administration, recordkeeping, training, performance management, etc.The utmost degree of confidentiality is required. We are seeking a self-motivated semi-experienced HR professional with the drive and aptitude to learn and grow with the organization.Essential Functions: Assist HR Generalist through recruiting efforts (eg managing applicant tracking system, posting job ads, pulling applications, scheduling interviews, conducting post-offer meetings, background screening and drug tests) Assist with new paperwork and new hire orientations Assist with benefit administration (open enrollments, newly eligible enrollments, documents, HRIS and provider websites data entry, invoice reconciliation) Assist with work-related accident documentation and recordkeeping Assist with exit interviews Assist with unemployment documentation Assume responsibility for administrative functions for cell phone, uniforms, and badges Assist with timekeeping scheduling Assist HR Manager as directed (eg HR audits, employee records, HRIS administration, leaves of absence, handbook updates, OSHA and Workers Compensation, all other projects) Assist HR Manager with personnel meetings (including infrequent night and/or weekend shifts) Human Resources AssistantEducation & Experience: Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent GED 5+ years administrative experience 2+ years previous HR related experience SHRM CP or PHR a plus Must be detail oriented and organized Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) Previous experience in warehouse or manufacturing setting Previous experience with HRIS (ADP Workforce Now a plus) Familiarity with Applicant Tracking System Previous recruiting and/or benefits administration preferred Strong written and oral communication and customer service skills Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus Physical Demands:The physical demands characteristics described here are representative of those an employee must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
