Interstate Van Lines Marketing Coordinator SUMMARY Work as a team member with the Marketing Director and colleagues to provide marketing support to all business units. Responsible for the administration of marketing initiatives including, but not limited to, sponsorships/donations, events, job tracking, campaigns and branding initiatives. Provide coordination and support for various marketing projects, initiatives and activities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Provide support for tradeshow and other internal and external event planning and execution, to include taking photographs of such events. May occasionally require evening/or weekend hours. Coordinate and prepare weekly internal newsletter. Write and post social media content. Prepare and maintain job jackets, job tracking log, vendor and photo files, donation and community service files, e-blast metrics reports, marketing and social media binders, and other reports. Work with vendors for order/fulfillment requests. Keep track of promotional product usage. Provide departmental administrative support including correspondence, mail, preparing check requests, purchase orders, hospitality (event tickets) and assisting in maintaining departmental files and databases. Function as departmental liaison on select marketing projects with business units and internal and external contacts on community service and sponsorships. Maintain written job procedures. Copywriting/copyediting for marketing materials, newsletters and advertising, websites, social media and other materials as needed. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or equivalent experience. Minimum two-three years marketing experience preferred. Solid understanding of processes and project management skills relative to marketing projects for print, direct mail, social media, website, trade shows, and/or event planning. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
