Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, located in Baltimore, MD is seeking candidates for a Rectory Cook. The cook will plan and prepare delicious, nutritious and balanced meals for the Redemptorist Community and their guests. Job Responsibilities: Prepare and display weekly menuThe weekly menu will be approved by the rectorPrepare balanced, nutritious and delicious meals for 6 to 8 peoplePrepare meals suited for the elderly with health concernsPrepare supper to be served at 5:15 pm from Monday to FridayMonitor portions so that food is not wastedMaintain kitchen, breakfast room and dining room so that they are clean and in orderWash pots & pans (Dinner dishes will be washed by the priests and brothers)Unload/load dishwasher if necessaryReview pantry, refrigerator and cupboards in order to maintain inventoryNotify the minister of the house of shopping listShopping, as needed, with the minister of the houseNotify the rector of broken or damaged appliances or equipmentPrepare for events and parties in the retory as requestedOther responsibilities related to food preparation as neededExperience cooking for the elderlyExperience cooking for large and small groups of peopleFood handling and safety certification3 recommendations
