Vencore is an AA/EEO Employer - Minorities/Women/Veterans/DisabledResponsibilities:This role may be staffed in Silver Springs, Maryland.The selected candidate will support the Government in the development of schedules.The Scheduler performs a variety of tasks including:Review prime Contractor's Schedule Status Reports to assess schedule performance.Support Government software acquisition activities including review of software development schedulesSupport the Government with schedule estimates during analysis of alternative activitiesSupport the Government during transition activities to develop and coordinate planning schedulesParticipate in gate reviews and provide feedback to the Government on the viability of the development Contractor's schedules.Work closely with both the development Contractor and government personnel in the development of integration & test, verification & validation, and transition to operations plans, and ensure deconflicting of schedules based on Government prioritiesSchedules information systems equipment usage and recommends appropriate maintenance strategies and schedules to ensure uninterrupted systems usage.Requires 5 to 8 years with BS/BA or 3 to 5 years with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD.The candidate must be familiar with standard scheduling concepts, practices, and procedures and have demonstrated experience with Microsoft Project or equivalent tools including resource loading, balancing and critical path analysis.Prior scheduling experience at NASA and/or NOAA is desiredThe ability to understand complex integration issues and work with a team to develop closure plansExcellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsThe ability to develop a highly effective working relationship with the customer and development contractorsThe ability to coordinate with program stakeholders and to work issues to closureThe ability to deliver customer solutions in a timely fashionSecurity processing required to work on a Department of Commerce facility and to access IT systems.
