Location: Washington DC The Member Liaison serves as a member liaison for individuals who request assistance by providing status or information regarding rescission and/or rescission review process. This position is a single point of contact for the member regarding Individual Services operational departments, including Underwriting, Membership and Customer Service regarding rescissions and/or rescission reviews. Primary duties may include but not limited to: Functions as a subject matter expert for the Individual team with a strong emphasis on gathering any applicable information and/or documentation to ensure a fair review is completed. Facilitates the member's understanding of the rescission and/or rescission review process. Assists in developing and implementing departmental policy and procedures that remove barriers to customer satisfaction. This position requires extensive operations experience in multi-functional units. Ability to use superior communication skills to diffuse emotionally charged situations while maintaining rapport with the customer. Ability to collaborate with several departments including Underwriting, Medical Investigations, Grievance & Appeals, Claims, Membership, and Legal. Records information for management to facilitate ongoing service and quality improvements. Proactive outreach to members to help schedule appointments, follow-up on the appointments, assist with grievance prevention, develop strong rapport with members including senior citizens and complex populations. High school diploma or equivalent Customer service experience Good verbal and written communication skills Extensive operations experience in multi-functional units. Previous clinical experience in a patient environment is a plus.
