Security Team Member To maintain a safe and secure environment for team members, visitors, and customers. Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of team members, visitors, and other persons to protect company property, inventory, and maintain security of premises. Essential Functions Supports achievement of business plans, strategies and objectives by consistently performing assigned tasks at the highest quality and efficiency level that company meets or exceeds expectations by:Performing all security functions to maintain highest level of security and protection of people and company assetsPerforming tasks to minimize down timeUnderstanding and complying with security management, policies, procedures, and programsResponding to alarms, informing team members, and recording data in a timely mannerPerforming proper and thorough security inspectionsUnderstanding and using Computerized Management system to ensure efficient and proper documentation as required by specific locationBuilding and maintaining effective relationships and communication with internal and external customers, local government, police and fire agencies, and other emergency respondersDeveloping and updating documentation of local emergency response resourcesEnsuring all paperwork is accurate, completed on time, and neatContribute to the entire team by:Interacting effectively and in a respectful manner even in difficult situationsWorking with little direction and assisting othersBeing cooperative, flexible, and communicating effectively with team members, supervisors, customers, and vendorsProviding operational support to other departments and team membersBeing open and adaptable to changeReporting to work as scheduled and following break/lunch schedulesPromote and practice safety daily by:Continually displaying a conscious concern for personal and team member safetyProviding the safest workplace possible by building an environment where individuals feel a personal sense of responsibility for their safety and the safety of team matesSafely operating and maintaining equipmentReporting unsafe equipment, conditions, and behaviorsTaking immediate action to correct safety and security issuesTreating building and equipment with respect and reporting safety and security concernsIdentifying and suggesting safety and security improvementsFollowing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) policies and proceduresSupporting sanitation by keeping areas clean and neat while working and at end of shiftOperating Material Handling Equipment (MHE) only if currently trained and/or certified as required by position or as assigned by functionPhysical Demands Regular and consistent attendanceMust be able to lift occasionally lift up to 50lbsMust be able to stand, bend, squat, push, pull, and reach repetitivelyMust be able to stand continuously for long periodsMust be able to step up onto and down from equipmentMust be able to climb ladders and tolerate heightsMust be able to withstand cold and freezing temperatures as low as -20 degrees FahrenheitMust be able to adapt to fluctuating temperaturesMust be able to withstand loud noiseMust be able to work while wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Must be able to respond and perform physical demands of weather emergenciesKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Basic reading, writingFour basic math skillsMinimum 6 months Security experience.
