This position is part of the WHS Facilities Services Directorate, located in Arlington, VA.
This position is located in the Washington Headquarters Services, Facilities Services Directorate, Leased Facilities Division (LFD). This position is responsible for the management and direction of all administrative matters for the Division on a variety of related building management programs and services essential to the direction and operation of the Division.
Washington Headquarters Services was established as a Department of Defense Field Activity on October 1, 1977, as part of a DoD headquarters streamlining initiative. Approximately 1,200 civilian and military employees as well as contract staff are organized into 12 directorates and offices. WHS personnel contribute to the mission of our Defense customers by managing DoD-wide programs and operations for the Pentagon Reservation and DoD leased facilities in the National Capital Region. WHS is organizationally aligned under the Director of Administration for the Office of the Deputy Chief Management Officer.

You may qualify at the GS-12 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates your ability to provide administrative functions. i.e., oversight of an administrative and security program, process and track the progress of a program; provide recommendations to management to improve management services and administrative functions.
There is no substitution of education for specialized experience for the GS-12 level.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
