This vacancy is for a Program Manager position in the Administrative and Customer Service Division (ACSD) located at the U.S. Census Bureau Headquarters in Suitland, Maryland. The Census Bureau is accessible from the Metrol Rail Green Line - Suitland Station.

  • Specialized Experience: For the GG-15, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Experience for this position includes; Providing briefings on analytical findings and recommendations for multiple projects within a program; participating on multi-agency operational planning teams in coordination program operations; serving as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) managing goods, services, and financial matters, as it pertains to contractors; and leading a team responsible for delivering customer service and program operations to a large organization.

    Education can not be substituted for experience at this grade level.

    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
