IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC)
The selectee for this position will serve as a Senior Information Assurance Analyst in the Cyber Security Directorate of the Department of the Navy.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience providing strategic leadership, management and development of Cyber Security (CS) policy guidance and requirements.
- Experience facilitating and directing implementation of CS Assessment & Authorization test events.
- Experience providing advice or guidance in the implementation of IT Security policies and procedures in the development and operation of network systems.
- Experience monitoring and evaluating systems' compliance with IT security requirements.
Your experience in the information technology field must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

Generally, current Federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the applicant fails to report to the scheduled drug test appointment.
