Position Overview
The Director of the Technology Business Management (TBM) Office within Freddie Mac’s Information Technology Chief Financial Officer’s (IT CFO) organization is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to lead configuration and reporting development activities. Activities led by the Senior Business Analyst will often be time sensitive, highly visible within the Freddie Mac organization and require collaboration within the Finance organization and with IT and Lines of Business partners.

Responsibilities include:

* Gather non-technical functional requirements and translate into technical deliverables within Apptio
* Design, configure, test and deploy Apptio dashboards, reports and underlying data models to meet functional design and specifications. Complete associated configuration documentation
* Validate TBM reporting and troubleshoot data issues; recommend and implement resolutions
* Lead strategic improvement efforts related to data collection, allocation, and costing methodologies to enhance the current TBM cost model. Integrate improvements into the standard production process
* Participate in enterprise wide data architecture and IT Standards improvement efforts; represent the TBM Office in strategic partner organization meetings (Service Management, Security & Compliance, Engineering, etc.)
* Identify opportunities to automate interfaces with the Apptio tool; define requirements and conduct user testing
* Act as a direct interface between the TBM Office and key Stakeholders within IT, Finance and the Lines of Business; serve as TBM champion and educator for stakeholders unfamiliar with associated practices and technologies
* Provide IT and business partners with information to define, demand and manage their consumption of IT services
* Facilitate discussions with IT and business partners regarding the appropriate IT services, capabilities, and service levels necessary to meet business requirements

Basic Requirements
* 5- 7 years of related experience
* Bachelor’s Degree in a finance (Finance, Economics, Business Administration) or technology discipline (Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems)
* 2+ years of experience working with business intelligence, data management, ad hoc query, and/or data analysis tools such as Tableau, Cognos, MicroStrategy, Crystal Reports, Informatica, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), etc.
* 2+ years of experience in data analysis, data visualization, data science, or data mining
* 2+ years of experience in relational database management system (RDBMS) technologies such as: SQL Server, Sybase, Oracle, SQLlite, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.
* Strong financial aptitude and robust analytical skills – experience with financial modeling, budgeting, cost allocations, Activity Based Costing, capital and operating expense handling, program portfolio management and application / infrastructure support within an IT organization (internal or client organization)
* Understanding of IT infrastructure domains including data centers, network/communications, server utilization, virtual environments, storage, and application development, and how those items drive total cost of ownership of an application, platform, or solution
* IT Asset Management, IT Information Library (ITIL Foundation) and Service Management (ITSM) knowledge
* Experience working with IT Cost Management or Cost Transparency processes and tools (Apptio)
* Proficiency with enterprise business management software (PeopleSoft, Hyperion, ServiceNow, etc.)
* Experience with application of relational database concepts, and with completing technical design via iterative mockups
* Personality type who thrives in a team oriented, start-up type environment; can easily shift focus between high priority tasks as required
* Intellectually curious; seeks out opportunities to expand professional knowledge and network; funnels found knowledge into continuous process improvement activity
* Proven track record of navigating across organizational boundaries to successfully influence others and build trust-based relationships; maintains poise and professionalism during challenging conversations
* Strong to expert level skills in data transformation and ETL using MS Excel, Access or similar tools. Strong skills in formulaic logic such as MS Excel pivot tables, macros, VLOOKUP, “if” statements, etc.
* Strong report presentation development skills (MS PowerPoint, Tableau) to facilitate messaging for executive management audiences

Preferred Skills
* Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Data Analytics or Data Science, or Finance related field
* Intermediate ITIL Intermediate certification
* Experience with the Agile software development methodology
* Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) certification
* Basic programming skills
