Director of Administrative Information Services
The Director of Administrative Information Services (AIS) is responsible for strategic planning, enhancement of, integration with and operational support of the universityâ€™s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
The Director is a hands on technical manager providing support and direction to members of the AIS team and end users of the ERP.
This position is part of Information Technology Services (ITS) department and coordinates implementation and support activities with other ITS teams.
â€¢ Bachelorâ€™s degree in Information Systems/Computer Science or related field and seven or more years of experience in information technology;
â€¢ Three or more years experience with information technology management of a Colleague by Ellucian (formerly Datatel) implementation;
â€¢ Five or more years experience with direct supervision and management of information technology staff such as developers, system administrators and/or database administrators;
â€¢ Five or more years experience leading software development life cycle activities including custom software development and/or implementation of third party software products;
â€¢ Three or more years experience with project and/or portfolio management;
â€¢ Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with ability to work with customers at all levels of the organization;
â€¢ Demonstrated ability to work independently and reliably to ensure activities are completed to customer satisfaction;
â€¢ Demonstrated ability to carefully manage resources to provide maximum benefits to the organization;
â€¢ Strong focus on customer service and development of long term customer relationships and partnerships;
â€¢ Excellent analytical and problem solving skills;
â€¢ Ability to multi-task effectively and balance multiple priorities;
â€¢ Desire and ability to learn and apply new skills/technologies quickly
â€¢ Strong experience working with multiple technology, database and infrastructure platforms (e.g. Java, SQL Server, .NET, etc);
â€¢ Strong experience evaluating and integration third party solutions and services, along with management of third party software vendors;
â€¢ Strong experience with large scale systems implementations.
