Dewberry has an immediate position available for an experienced Marketing Pursuit Manager to support our architectural practice in Fairfax, VA, and to join our national marketing and business development team. The ideal candidate is a dedicated, market-focused professional who understands deadline-driven work and is a self-starter who can work both independently and within a team environment.

  • Possesses prior experience preparing A/E proposals and interviews for federal, state and local      government clients.
  • Works in tandem with business development and operations personnel to implement pursuit win strategies, appropriately incorporate sales messages, and produce professional proposals and oral presentations.
  • Manages multiple proposals and ualifications submissions simultaneously in an effective and efficient manner under tight deadlines.
  • Understand how to manage time appropriately. Position may involve working overtime as necessary to meet all pursuit deadlines.
  • Complies with our corporate standards to present a consistent appearance and style for all external marketing communications, including project descriptions, qualification packages,      presentation graphics, proposals, résumés, leaflets, etc.
  • Conducts web-based market research in support of business development and operations personnel.
  • Performs detailed writing and editing, formatting and layout of marketing documents.
  • Monitors external procurement sites to identify and track opportunities (solicitations, RFP’s, RFQ’s, etc).
  • Analyzes solicitation requirements, prepares proposal plan to include proposal components (graphics, resumes, narrative, etc), outlines, tasks, schedules and responsibilities.
  • Coordinates with internal and external team members to collect and compile information to develop and write components of the proposal effort.
  • Organizes conference participation, exhibit and marketing materials.
  • Manages library of project descriptions, resumes, proposals and allied marketing materials
  • BA or BS degree in liberal arts, marketing, communications, or journalism
  • Minimum of 10 years previous experience (A/E industry preferred). 
  • Prior experience with custom proposals for state, municipal, and federal and other miscellaneous proposal formats preferred.
  • Extensive MS Word and PowerPoint experience required.
  • Proficiency with desktop publishing (InDesign) and graphics software required. Possess good visual perception for proposal and presentation layout.
  • Familiarity with DELTEK Vision or similar CRM system.
  • Prior web research experience preferred.
  • Written and oral communication skills required.
  • Ability to multi-task and effective time management skills.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary.
  • Some travel may be required to support marketing efforts for the national practice.
