RESPONSIBILITIES * Lead and deliver projects to improve the quality and efficiency of network related services * Support the day-to-day operation, management, and administration of computer networks and servers, switches, routers, intrusion detection/prevention systems, packet capture and analysis, load balancers, environmental monitoring devices * Identify network problems and facilitate resolution resolve in accordance with incident and problem management services, policies, procedures and SLAs * Provide network management operations oversight, troubleshooting and support * Design, configure WAN/LAN (hardware, software) prior to installation, and manage post-installation * Update all circuits, devices and software documentation and artifacts in compliance with configuration management best practices * Update network diagrams and documentation with Visio and other network design tools * Train and support users, provide subject matter expertise, maintain and advance networking best practices, standards, and working relationships * Coordinate resolution of network issues and needs with third parties, including public carriers, hosting and cloud providers, ISPs, and affiliates REQUIRED SKILLS * Strong network management/monitoring background, including use of network management/monitoring tools, vendors, and support resources * Experience working with SolarWinds Orion, Cacti * Network security experience with firewall, VPN, IDS/IPS and content filtering experience, including strong hands on experience managing Palo Alto and Cisco solutions * Strong experience in Cisco Routing and Switching including design, implementation, and troubleshooting knowledge of EIGRP, BGP, policy based routing, Multicast, spanning tree, QoS, IOS Security * Expertise and hands-on experience with TCP/IP network design and implementation in bare metal and virtual (ESX) environments including DNS, DHCP, 802.11x, IP addressing, VLANs, LACP, spanning-tree, etc. * Expertise and hands-on experience network administration for LAN, WAN, public cloud (Microsoft Azure) and internet * Demonstrated experience and expertise in Wireless LAN and related technologies and security paradigms * Excellent delivery skills (time management, vendor management, etc.) * Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills * Excellent relationship building and teamwork skills DESIRED SKILLS * Technical certifications such as CCNA, CCNP is preferred (not required) * Cloud security design, implementation, and practices a plus * Strong experience in traffic shaping, load balancing (F5 a big plus), data flow determination, WAN Optimization EDUCATION AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE * 8 or more years of hands on network operations and direct hands-on delivery in an enterprise environment
