This HireStrategy client is a global eCommerce organization in the DC area looking for an SEO Manager with 3-5 years of experience within organic search and SERP optimization. This is a very visible role that is both strategic and tactical. Sound, technical organic search skills are a must with heavy emphasis of on-page optimization.Success in this role requires a passion for SEO, fluency in core metrics, and experience as to best practices around content, links, technical SEO, product changes, lead generation, and reporting. Primary Responsibilities: The SEO Manager will develop and perform weekly and monthly SEO traffic and conversion reporting, tying channel performance to team and company-wide financial targets. Clearly articulate and drive editorial SEO strategy, understanding consumer use and business value of search engines, and in-turn optimizing content for all aspects of customer journey. The SEO Manager will develop and perform weekly and monthly reporting for all tactical aspects of SEO from keyword analysis to technical audits to content creation and deliver results to all stakeholders. Track current performance against goals for each core metric The SEO Manager will provide recommendations for UI/UX design, site structure, content categories, landing pages and offers to help optimize each channel based on lessons learned from SEO initiatives. Research competitor SEO metrics (ranks, inbound links, content topics, formats, and distribution, social media exposure, on-page optimization, etc.) and adjust program to compete. The SEO Manager will identify industry influencers, develop and manage a partner relationship program to build links within our three core industries among influencers and thought leaders. Research and build out an editorial calendar to help achieve our SEO targets for links, SERPs, and share of voice The SEO Manager will create content and manage team of resources (in house, freelancers, or companies) for the creation of unique, valuable content optimized for search engines and social platforms. Manage and enhance current technology platforms supporting our SEO program (ranging from Moz to Majestic, GA, Google Console, etc) and test new tools that can drive greater program efficiency Stay ahead of industry trends in SEO and serve as an internal center of excellence, sharing knowledge and ideas with the broader team. Support the Email, Paid, and Content Marketing teams to achieve overall revenue goals. Coordinate and prioritize tasks with members of the marketing, product, analytics, and development teams to ensure maximum impact of SEO effortsQualifications: 3+ years' experience directly managing an SEO program for a company Hands-on day-to-day experience reporting and tracking core SEO metrics Strong analytical skills and clear understanding of content marketing best practices Ability to turn analysis into action, execute to timelines, and build sophisticated plans Expertise in designing, measuring, and explaining A/B and multivariate testing Elegant content writer with keen eye for layout and creative design Deep understanding of keyword research, link building and content optimization Self-motivated and have a positive attitude and work well with a strong team Desire to contribute to the hyper-growth and culture of a successful technology company Bachelor's or Master's degree with strong track record of academic performance
