Classification Specialists will apply their skills and experience in performing Position Classification for General Schedule (GS), Wage Grade (WG) and pay band position to ensure that a well-regulated classification program is maintained.Responsibilities Include: Coordinate position classification activities with staffing and position management activities;Work independently to develop position descriptions utilizing appropriate formats, assign positions to the appropriate technical, scientific or administrative group(s) and determine appropriate grade level based on the application of classification protocol and standards outlined by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and the Department;Prepare position evaluation reports and communicate actions that must take place as an result of position classification/management determinations;Maintain position description and classification data in HRIS;Input data into Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)Qualifications and Education 1 - 4 years of federal Human Resources classification experienceStrong client relationship and interactionMust have the ability to read, interpret and analyze Federal documents to ensure that a well-regulated classification program is maintainedProven organization and collaboration skillsProven ability to reason and analyze problemsProficiency in Adobe and Microsoft office productsAbility to work with minimum supervisionExcellent written and oral communication skillsDesired Skills Knowledge of general human resources practices acquired through formal education or some years of Federal Human Resources experience across functional areasKnowledge of NFC and SharePoint.Bachelor's Degree #LI-KB2
