McCormick & Co., Inc., a world leader in the spice, flavor & seasonings industry, is seeking a full- time Manufacturing Plant Human Relations (HR) Generalist II to support its Hunt Valley Plant (HVP) located at 11102 McCormick Road in Hunt Valley MD. This position will achieve employee and management satisfaction through the direction, development and implementation of effective employee relations, recruiting & selection processes and training programs.RESPONSIBILITES:Leading recruitment and selection activities.Leading the exempt and non-exempt annual merit and appraisal process.Providing counsel to managers and leaders regarding employee relations issues, and interpreting employment laws and company policies and procedures.Advising supervisors regarding disciplinary action, company policies, procedures, and practices.Working closely with managers and employees at all levels to initiate employee development programs and provide individual development and career counseling. Participates in and/or facilitates talent management activities and reviews.Providing insight, leadership and support for short-term and long-term workforce planning using data driven analysis.Interacting daily with employees in assigned areas of responsibility to answer questions and facilitate issue resolution, improve employee engagement and maintain visibility of the HR function.Leading HR process improvement initiatives and special projects and/or training initiatives from start to finish.Coordinating and leading all necessary activities related to site audits and compliance requirementsLeading and documenting the leave management interactive process to include: ADA, worker's compensation, unemployment, FMLA, STD and LTD processes.Championing and leading event management and HPO Systems and Program Management.Managing and HR data management and reporting.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related fieldMinimum of 2 years Human Resources experience with solid employee relations and HR systems / process administration experienceDemonstrated ability to independently manage multiple, complex administrative processes and projectsExperience developing rapport at all levels of the organization and work toward an identified goal in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills with the proven ability to work both independently and as a member of a teamExperience defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusionsHighly-motivated, customer oriented, results-driven approachProficiency in Microsoft Office and an HRIS (preferably SAP)Ability to work flexible days and hours across three shifts to meet business demandsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Manufacturing plant and/or distribution center experiencePHR/SPHR/GPHR certificationExperience successfully driving results through influenceExperience coaching as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in HR processes and systemsexternal
