Total Wine & More is currently looking for a Customer Segment Lead. The Customer Segment Lead is responsible for championing customer segments across the organization to ensure awareness and understanding of customer motivations. The individual's main area of focus is integrating and analyzing data from multiple quantitative as well as qualitative sources, being capable of interpreting the outcomes and taking results to action. This candidate must be able to work across many departments and levels within the organization to drive results.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES* Develop annual top and bottom line targets for owned consumer segments based on customer counts, wallet size, and alignment with Total Wine & More differentiation* Partner with key stakeholders within and outside Marketing department to develop strategies and tactics for achieving annual goals within owned segments* Track, analyze, and report on the impact of actions taken across the organization as part of segment strategy, providing recommendations for course-correcting as necessary* Partner with Data/Inventory Analyst to produce and share regular reports around overall segment performance and progress toward annual objectives* Work closely with Marketing and Merchandising teams to align customer motivations to products and media channels to leverage to drive share of wallet and incremental sales and margin from dedicated segments* Monitor. analyze and evaluate past promotions to optimize future campaigns, and maintain an on-going testing plan for potential new promotions/offers to drive incremental traffic, sales, and margin* Serve as a go-to source of information and insights around the behaviors, attitudes, and motivations of owned customer segments* Identify additional research/data needs to increase Total Wine & More's understanding of customer segments for driving profitable growthJOB REQUIREMENTSMinimum Experience, Skills and Education:* Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field* 5-7 years of business experience in a financially oriented consumer goods or retail role* Experience with Project Management * Extensive experience using analytics to solve problems* Experience working in a dynamic, continuously improving, fast moving business modelPreferred Experience, Skills and Education:* Must be detail orientated* Strong, effective communicator * Ability to develop collaborative relationships across various work teams* Strong technical, analytical and statistical competencies required, with a strong working knowledge of retail math and Excel* Demonstrates resiliency, agility, and readily adjusts plans in the face of obstacles* Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multi-task/prioritize.* High level of expertise with Business Intelligence tools such as Microstrategy, Business Objects, Cognos etc. with experience writing and tuning SQL queries in an online or offline environment* High level of expertise with CRM systems, Oracle, Siebel, Acxiom etc.About Total Wine & MoreTotal Wine & More is America's Wine Superstore(R)-the country's largest independent retailer of fine wine.
