US Tech Solutions is seeking a "Customer Service Representative" for a Contract position with a client in Landover, MD. Responsibilities: Perform effective customer service or customer service recovery on the first point of contact by having a solid understanding of our Own Brand products. Build loyalty to our Corporate Brand products by answering and resolving customer contacts regarding our corporate brand product quality, product/date codes, packaging, storage, dating, nutrition, ingredients, allergen information, country of origin, recalls. Determine the severity of an issue and properly handle matters such as food safety issues, product tampering, health violations, allergens, accusations of mislabeling where dissatisfied customers may threaten or the possibility exists that they may report these matters to Health Department, Attorney General's office, Better Business Bureau, Consumer Affairs Offices, Social Media, News Media, Law Suits, public exposure on these issues could cause irreparable harm to the company's reputation Reach out to buyers and division nutritionists when necessary. Requirements: Have a depth of knowledge of the department, including goals, key functions and customer service principles to act as an effective representative for the company in handling customer communication including complaints, inquiries, suggestions and praise for all client banners that are generated via email, phone, and letter about our Own Brand Products. Have basic knowledge of nutrition, food safety issues such as proper food handling and storage, recipe preparation, date coding, allergens, and utilize resources to answer customer questions regarding these issues.
