Customer Service Representative
Aerotek is currently seeking multiple Customer Service Representative to work in the Baltimore Metro area.This position is responsible for responding to telephone inquiries pertaining to members eligibility.The primary responsibility of the Customer Service Rep is to reply to phone inquiries regarding basic eligibility and coverage questions with clear, concise responses in a tactful and courteous manner.Specifically, the CSR will be responsible for verifying Federal coverage, and member eligibility (eg, pre-certification, basic member information, verifying and updating address information, deductibles and out of pocket) in response to telephone inquiries. Such verification will necessitate both the use of reference documents and a proficiency in the use of on-line systems (eg, current claims adjudication system, Health Plan intranet, etc.) via a personal computer.Although its activities will require a degree of independent judgment, the parameters of this position are relatively limited: to verify eligibility and quote the Health Plans Federal coverage in response to hospital, physician, and member inquiries with regard to Federal coverage questions.In the latter instance, the Health Plans published brochure from the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) will be the primary reference for coverage questions.The most difficult and important aspect of this position is providing accurate information to the callers satisfaction.Qualifications:2+ years customer service experience working in a call center environment.Healthcare Background, insurance and inbound calls experience preferred.Computer proficient.Inbound call center experience.High school diploma.Must be open to working between 8am-7pm.Must be comfortable working a 35 hour work week.About Aerotek: Our people are everything.
