Smith Life Community, apremier provider of sub-acute, dementia, long-term care, and independent and assisted living services is searching foran energetic self-starter to work as a Resident Cook. Locatedon a 34-acre campus in suburban Rockville, MD, our system provides a continuumof care encompassing long-term care at the Hebrew Home of Greater Washington,assisted living at Landow House, memory care assisted living at Cohen-Rosenhouse, independent living at Ring and Revitz House, and the Hirsh HealthCenter, an outpatient health clinic. With a rich history of over one hundredyears of service to the community, we deliver quality services to over onethousand residents each day. Our Cooks are part of team that prepare restaurant quality meals in a fast paced kitchen 3 meals a day , 365 days a year. Our cooks are confident and comfortable working with a variety of cooking methods/procedures, locally sourced foods and a diverse menu.Candidates should be dependable and willing to work Full Time, Monday-Friday; every other weekend with some holidays. The typical work schedule for this position is 10:30am-6:00pm.The weekend schedule requires some flexibility. A high school degree or equivalent education with some culinary training is essential.Charles E.
