Our focus is always on outcomes and results that connect citizens more effectively with government services.MAXIMUS Federal Services currently has an opening for a Contracts Administrator II in our Falls Church, VA office. The Contracts Administrator II will work in support of the MAXIMUS Federal Citizen Services sector. The successful candidate will serve as the business development lead, supporting the major proposal activities, as well as performing the entire contracting life cycle from award and execution to close-out and archiving. The Administrator will work with the Senior Contracts Manager, VP of Contracts, Business Development and client facing company VPs, Directors and PMs on contractual activities including both pre-award and post-award activities.Responsibilities: Reviews solicitations and prepares specialized and/or non-routine response for proposals. Works directly with Business Development assisting with the overall procurement approach Analyzes significant, and/or unique contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, and corporate policies and business unit procedure, ultimately reducing risk to the company Provides authoritative guidance to internal business teams on corporate goals and objectives relating to contract activity Interacts and communicates as appropriate with finance/accounting and business team disciplines for resolution of contract issues and disputes Develops negotiation strategy and assists with negotiation on contractual issues Coordinates with the contracting officer to obtain administrative documentation; Manages contract change control process Maintains contract data base and associated files Executes entire contracting life cycle, from participation in proposal preparation through award and execution to close-out and archivingThe Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university is preferred At least five (5) years of Federal Government contracts experience required Excellent people, analytical, and negotiation skills Ability to communicate and interact effectively both orally and in writing at all levels of the organization Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with client personnel and internal company personnel. Excellent attention to detail Good technical writing skills with the ability to draft moderate to complex, non-routine contractual documents Must be able to review and analyze large Federal procurements Experience administering complex contracts with tight deadlines in a challenging environment Must be able to quickly develop working knowledge of corporate policies and procedures and show aptitude for identifying improvements to established policies Must be able to use independent judgment and creativity to arrive at resolution of contract issues Works well within a team as well as independently with minimal supervision Ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects Proficient in technology tools, including but not limited to, Microsoft Office applications and SharePoint Ability to collaborate with other functional departments Experience and familiarity with the FAR and DFARS are highly preferred Experience with Small Business Subcontracting and GSA Schedules are highly preferred Well-developed knowledge of general business operations and management functions and principles (business development, finance/accounting, operations, and information technology) preferred Physical Requirements:Ability to sit for up to 80% of timeWork is performed in a fast-paced office environment with a low to moderate noise levelEEO Statement:A committed and diverse workforce is our most important resource.MAXIMUS is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.MAXIMUS provides equal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status or disabled status.
