The Culinary Training & Development Manager will report to the Executive Chef & Director of Culinary Development. This includes creating and executing business relevant, educational curriculum and training, plus hands-on culinary programs and demonstrations. These efforts will significantly enhance customer and employee awareness and knowledge of McCormick's products, quality story, Passion for Flavor and leading position as a global flavor company. RESPONSIBILITIESLeads and coordinates meetings/presentations for CPD Sales to key customers for sell in of new product introductions, customer education on the McCormick difference and delivering on-trend culinary insightsCreates and executes curriculum for classroom and kitchen sessions that is business relevant and impactful for customers and employeesInteracts and manages effectively across multiple cross-functional teams to proactively provide culinary and strategic leadership for Flavor University and key customer focused Flavor AcademyProactively interacts internally with Marketing, Innovation, Club/Emerging Channels, Sales, Public Relations, Social and Digital teams, the Industrial Culinary team AND with other management and technical professionals including McCormick Kitchens, Product Development, Nutrition, Sensory, Quality Assurance and RegulatoryManages and develops direct reportsManages the Flavor University budgetREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSAssociate's Degree in Culinary OR a Bachelor's Degree + Formal Culinary trainingMinimum 6 years of hands-on relevant creative culinary experience with a concentration in culinary education/ training and/or culinary product developmentExperience with culinary demonstration, preparation and presentationLeadership skills and interpersonal style necessary for working collaboratively with cross functional teams and direct reportsAbility to mentor other employeesProject management experienceStrong computer skills to include experience with MS Office, Recipe & Nutrition Management Systems, and culinary web sitesExcellent communication and presentation skills for effective interaction with upper management and external customersDemonstrated sound and forward thinking along with ability to secure relevant information to understand the problem(s) at hand, identify critical elements of the problem(s), and solve problems with incomplete and/or ambiguous informationAbility to summarize situations in an understandable & simplified manner and communicate this to all levels of the organizationHigh degree of professionalism and attention to detailPassion for foodAbility to travel 25-30% of the time.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience in culinary curriculum / program development and deliveryManufacturing industry experienceCEC, CRC, and/or CHEExperience working with sales teams on customer presentationsRestaurant / Food Service Industry experienceExperience supervising a culinary teamRecognition of accomplishment in the food industry / culinary fieldKnowledge of coatings, condiments, seasonings & flavors for Food Service, Retail and Global Industrial applicationsAt least basic Food Science knowledgeMcCormick & Company is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
