Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems.

 1. Performs systems development and design work that may include logic design, I/O design, firmware development, model formulation, manufacturing and development cost projections, computer architecture analysis and design, and analog or digital systems engineering.

 2. Performs systems modeling, simulation, and analysis.

 3. Participates in the upgrading of operating systems and design of systems enhancements.

 4. Provides input for documentation on new or existing systems.

 5. Develops and conducts tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements.

 6. Identifies, analyzes, and resolves operating/hardware system problems.

 7. Assists senior engineers in configuring, testing  Cisco Virtual Office (CVO)  system with Cisco 891 and 2900  Secure Device Provisioning (SDP) routers, Arcana’s Manage Express Virtual Office (MEVO) software.


8. Determines system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.

 9. Assists senior engineers in configuring, testing  Cisco ASA 5585-X for client, clientless, wireless with AnyConnect and SSLVPN

 10. Assists senior engineers in troubleshooting client and clientless VPN issues with AnyConnect and clientless SSLVPN


11. Assists senior engineers in troubleshooting, testing PKI, RSA, ISE, AD, TACACS, RADIUS with client and clientless VPN


12. Performs daily testing Cisco AnyConnect client (VPN, NAM, Posture) modules


13. Performs testing to the HTML5 Ericom Access Now, Riverbed Steelhead appliances, Riverbed client.


14. Updates network drawing; update documentation such as Detail Design, User Guide, Operation Support Plan etc.


15. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.


16. Participates in special projects as required.



Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.



    Cisco Certified Network Associate, (CCNA) - Certified Juniper Networks Certified Associate – Junos, (JNCIA-Junos) - Certified
  • Must have 3-5 years of related network engineering experience.
  • Must have ability to document in detail all testing, especially with Java, ActiveX, Chrome, Firefox, IT, Edge, Windows 7, Windows 10, MAC OS, iPad

  • Must be available to work some late nights and weekends  for upgrade and/or support other PTOnet, and DMZ migrations that affect the telework infrastructure.Must be familiar with PTOnet infrastructure, current CVO and VPN telework infrastructure and operation.
