Provides advanced analytical and technical support to projects involving training, tactical/operational documentation, military systems design or other efforts requiring military operations expertise.

 

Researches, identifies, and makes recommendations about resources required for task execution and completion.

 

Gathers, processes, and analyzes operational data.

 

Assists with the testing and development of new systems or updates to existing systems to meet client needs.

 

Identifies and recommends emergent relevant technologies that may result in improvements to current processes.

 

Writes and updates project documentation including system procedures, presentations, and training materials.

 

Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff, and may have supervisory responsibilities.

 

Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies and subject areas.

 

Participates in special projects as required.

 

Primary role will be to Supervise small team of 3 technicians; ensure tasks are scheduled and completed, interface with local customer ensuring prompt and dependable IT services.  Identify service risks, develop plan to mitigate or resolve risks.  Cross train technicians to ensure ability to continue to support customer systems while primary technician is not available.  Reports progress with projects to contract manager.  Ensure team complies with all policies and procedures. Ensure that all personnel are productive when work tempo lags.

 

Secondary role will be to perform duties as a network technician, maintaining existing network routers, switches and cryptographic systems, installation of new equipment as needed.

Education Bachelors Degree in a related technical or military discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work/military experience.

Qualifications 8-10 years of related experience supporting military operations.

  Desired additional role:  Ability to act as basic level system administrator if primary administrator is absent.  This includes ability to create account, change password and perform basic troubleshooting on servers.  Ability to install and troubleshoot workstation and end user devices.

 

Desired additional role:  Be able to administer VoIP call manager.

 

Additional role: 

  • Ability to create, update and validate network and system drawings.
  • Ability to assist in administration of COMSEC material.
 

Requirements:  Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in direct management of small teams, in addition to experience as a network technician.  Must have COMPTIA SEC+ or better.  Must have valid drivers’ license and ability to drive vehicle up to full size pick up.  Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
