    Provides primary technical assessment, analysis, and recommendations related to new or under-renovation health facility IT infrastructure and low voltage systems (CCTV, Video Phones, VTC, Wireless, etc.)Maintains close interaction with medical facility customer staff, GDHS’ technical experts, and industry representatives to formulate item and system recommendationsReviews completion and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and makes recommendations to management and/or clients.Plans and directs upgrades of operating systems and designs systems enhancements.Develops and/or provides documentation on new or existing systems within the facility. Develops and directs tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements. Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system problems. Determines system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced systems engineers and may have supervisory responsibilities. Serves as liaison with clients, participating in meetings to ensure client needs are met. Serves as liaison between vendors and customer, providing over-site when vendors are on-site. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned. Participates in special projects as required. Advanced knowledge of systems engineering principles, methods, and techniques.Knowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipment. Professional certification in one or more specific technologies may be required, depending on job assignment. Minimum of Security+ as well as advanced industry level certifications in their specialties, a minimum of Cisco Certified network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent industry standard.Recommend Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) / Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certifications.Possess minimum of two (2) years of experience working within a DoD/civilian Healthcare environment.The work is typically performed remotely. Telework is available with travel to client site as required, work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.

Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

Qualifications Must be able to achieve Security+ CE Certification (or equivalent) within 90 days of hire for positions requiring elevated privileges

Additional specific certifications may be required.
