POWERED SUPPORT SYS RPR
The selectee for this position will serve as a Powered Support Systems Repairer. This position is located at Naval Air Station (NAS) Patuxent River in the Fleet Readiness Center Mid-Atlantic (FRCMA) Patuxent River, Support Equipment (SE) Division, Support Equipment maintenance work centers. FRCMA Patuxent River provides maintenance support on aircraft components, engines and support equipment. This support is provided for Naval Test Wing Atlantic squadrons and Naval Test Pilot School, conducting test and evaluation (T&E) of aircraft weapon systems and their components. The Powered Support Systems Repairer performs intermediate level maintenance on aircraft ground handling and other support equipment, electric, gasoline and diesel powered equipment, mechanical support equipment and non-powered servicing equipment.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: Experience performing the common and repetitive duties of a Powered Support Systems Repairer: disassemble components; replace and/or parts; assist in tuning engines; adjust brakes; adjust ignition/injector timing; accomplish periodic maintenance on a variety of aircraft GSE; use common tools and test equipment to maintain GSE/PSE; utilize technical manuals, directives and/or work instructions; assist Journey Level mechanics in more complex tasks.
