    1. Experience in acquisition program management in government, industry, and/or commercial sector regarding:
    a. Leadership and management positions in ACAT I acquisition programs
    b. Participation or management of key acquisition activities across the spectrum of the DoD acquisition framework/phases
    c. Development of acquisition documentation and plans
    d. Role in key events such as Milestone Reviews, Defense Acquisition Boards, Critical Design Reviews, etc.
    e. An understanding of the DoD systems acquisition processes, including business, technical (including systems engineering), and program management and oversight, and
    f. Experience in systems acquisition process implementation to include customer/stakeholder interaction, source selection, technical management, and risk
    management.
    g. IT and/or Cyber related program development either in government or industry
    Industry experience with DoD systems development and acquisition
    h. Experience with services acquisition planning, requirements definition, and implementation

    2. Experience with teaching and facilitating adult learning, to include:
    a. Teaching managerial, technical and business concepts to students with different backgrounds and experiences
    b. Developing lectures, cases, simulations, and workshops
    c. Preparing course material (student and instructor) according to current instructional systems design technology
    d. Developing course schedules
    e. Developing and analyzing student assessments and providing student counseling to insure the highest degree of learning

    3. Consulting experience with DoD, government, industry, and/or commercial sector regarding:
    a. Policy and process development and improvement, and management of acquisition programs and activities
    b. Consulting in support of diagnosis, programmatic problem-solving, and organizational interventions that result in acquisition program success or organization change.

    Pay Band A: Minimum Prerequisites:
    1. You must possess a Bachelor's Degree in a related area from an accredited college or university and at least 4 years of experience in the appropriate functional area in either a government or industry.
    2 You must have specialized experience directly relating to the specific duties of this position and must demonstrate that you have the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully.
    3. You must have achieved DAWIA Level III certification in the primary discipline or related discipline from the acquisition workforce or have the ability to obtain this certification within 24 months of appointment.
    Pay Band B: Minimum Prerequisites
    1. You must possess a Master's Degree in a related area from an accredited college or university ant at least 6 years of experience in the appropriate functional area in either a government or industry position.
    2. You must have specialized experience directly relating to the specific duties of this position and must demonstrate that you have required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully.
    3. You must have achieved DAWIA Level III certification in the primary discipline or related discipline from the acquisition workforce or have the ability to obtain this certification within 24 months of appointment.
    Pay Band C: Minimum Prerequisites
    1. You must possess a Master's Degree in a related area from an accredited college or university ant at least 8 years of experience in the appropriate functional area in either a government or industry position.
    2. You must have specialized experience directly relating to the specific duties of this position and must demonstrate that you have required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully.
    3. You must have achieved DAWIA Level III certification in the primary discipline or related discipline from the acquisition workforce or have the ability to obtain this certification within 24 months of appointment.

    1. This is a Critical Acquisition position.
    2. If selected for this position, you are subject to the completion of a satisfactory background investigation.
    3. You will be required to become a member of the Acquisition Corps. DoD instruction 5000.58R specifies qualification standards for Corps membership (waiver of some of these standards is possible in the limited circumstances described in the instruction).
    4. You will be required to join the DAU Faculty Plan as established by Title 10 of the US Code. This position is in the excepted service (non-career). Candidates currently in the competitive service will be required to sign a statement indicating that they are leaving the competitive services voluntarily to accept an appointment in the excepted service.
    5. Initial appointment is made for a period of four years, conditional upon satisfactory completion of a DAU probationary period of one year. Every year, as part of an annual review, consideration is given to extending the appointment; thus service at DAU can be extended indefinitely.
    6. If selected for this position, you MUST be able to begin work within 90 days of acceptance.
    7. Permanent Change of Station (PCS) expenses will NOT be paid.
    8. This may be designated as a drug testing position.
