We are currently looking for a Manager of Compliance & Labor to join our HR team based in Reston, Virginia. Reporting to the Director of Compliance & Labor, the Manager of Compliance & Labor will be responsible for Job Summary: The Manager, HR Compliance, Labor and Administration (Manager, HR Compliance) supports the Director, HR Compliance, Labor and Administration in all areas of HR compliance, and labor and employee relations, including the development, review and implementation of HR policies and procedures. Main Duties and Responsibilities:Supports the implementation of policies, formal procedures, standard operating practices ("SOPs") and best practices in the United States.Supports the Director, HR Compliance, in all internal HR compliance auditing, and works with business units to implement the recommendations and action items resulting from auditsIn conjunction with the Director, HR Compliance, provides guidance and support to investigations and complex employee issues for field and corporate HR teams as neededDrives the standardization of US HR policies, best practices and guidelines across US unitsEnsures implementation of HR policies, procedures and programsPrepares and reviews all requests for separation of employment and preparation of agreements and confirms appropriate approvals for separation requestsCoordinates all national labor relations meetings, ensures documentation of labor relations matters and manages all follow up actions and documentationOversees the onboarding of new HR management team members to ensure they are knowledgeable in and understand Company processes and proceduresDirects and monitors HR team compliance with standards including orientation materials, policies and proceduresOversees the onboarding of new HR management team members to ensure they are knowledgeable in and understand Company processes, procedures, etc.; regularly reviews the effectiveness of related matters and continually improvesOversees the gateLife program designed to engage employees and foster a positive work environment; takes action to ensure involvement of the management team as well as HRManages the Business Unit HR shared siteAdvises on immigration issuesResponsible for coordinating all compliance related reporting including but not limited to: AAP , EEO-1 and VETS 4212 Reporting, coordinates with SMEs, colleagues and vendors as appropriateServes on the Decisional Committee. Supports and leads projects as directed by the Director, HR ComplianceEducation: Bachelor degree required; Master's degree in related field preferred Work Experience: At least 5 years' experience in progressively responsible human resource or legal role with focus in US labor, employment laws, HR compliance and project managementExpertise should encompass a minimum of 3 years of proven leadership experience to include team management as well as developing business relationships with internal clientsExperience working in transportation, hospitality, manufacturing or food service environment highly desirable.Technical Skills: (Certification, Licenses and Registration)Must be knowledgeable in both Federal and state employment laws. Must be familiar with areas of EEO/Title VII compliance including expertise in investigating and formally responding to Title VII charges.Multi-lingual skills highly desirable.
