Join us and help people live healthier lives while doing your life's best work.(sm) Clinical Provider Quality Program Lead will be a key member of the clinical program development & affordability team responsible for the ongoing management, enhancement and development of new Provider Quality of Care Programs. He / she will work with various business stakeholders to review existing and potentially new processes, facilitate the gathering of requirements and influence the future direction of the Provider Quality of Care Programs to drive greater adoption, improve provider, member satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Other duties will include project documentation, business configuration and other project work as assigned. This is a diverse role in a fast-paced forward-thinking environment with constant opportunities to grow, learn and expand your skill sets.Primary Responsibilities:Responsible for program implementation related to provider performance and provider experience management which will be tracked by internally developed metrics. Analyze the competitive landscape for market trends and benchmarks to identify gaps with current capabilities; define user stories, write product requirements and use case scenarios. Lead or contribute to the development of program or project scope statements with applicable stakeholders (eg, program/project charter, Statement of Work, Business Vision Document). Monitor and document project milestones and outcomes throughout the project lifecycle. Build strong working relationships across Optum and UHC to determine future direction and assist in the successful design and launch of new provider quality of care program capabilities. Develop and maintain financial reports to clearly communicate actual results, forecasted performance, and variances to plan, forecast and budget. Develop, communicate and implement program and project risk, issue management plans and strategies. Conduct complex quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify and solve problems and develop innovative solutions to support provider quality driven model. Responsible for quality reporting, analysis and for developing plans and programs to support continuous improvement to strategic initiatives. Collaborate with specialty benefits leaders and stakeholders to identify potential areas of improvement, resolve issues & facilitate corrective action. Assist in the development of program forecasts, budgets, and plans. Demonstrate accountability for own professional growth & development. Performs all other related duties as assigned.Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, health care management, science, or related field with advanced project management/vendor relationship skills. 3+ year of experience in writing business and / or system requirements and business / finance analysis 3+ years of Project Management experience with documenting processes and practices, often in accepted project methodology artifacts, while effectively prioritizing multiple tasks, priorities, projects, and deadlines Proven record of driving business results; proven ability to create meaningful data analysis & metrics to support business needs. Strong negotiation skills; the ability to gain acceptance from others of a plan or idea and achieve a mutually beneficial outcome; ability to develop, coach, influence & provide feedback to vendors and field staff Problem solving skills; the ability to systematically analyze problems, draw relevant conclusions and devise appropriate courses of action Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying complex or technical information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and Interpret complex information from others; proven ability to develop formal/informal presentations & correspond/interact with senior leadership Demonstrated ability to optimize resources using strong interpersonal skills, good judgment & an attitude that fosters teamwork & supports organizational goals; ability to form alliances with supporting organizations Ability to multi-task & manage multiple projects/priorities simultaneously, shifting back and forth effectively between two or more activities or sources of information Possess excellent interpersonal skills; demonstrated leadership & problem solving skills, flexibility, creativity & dedicated conscientiousness Can be relied upon to act ethically, to safeguard confidential information and to adhere to UnitedHealthcare's Code of Conduct and all legal and regulatory requirements Proficient with Microsoft Project or other project management tools, MS Access, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS SharePoint, and MS VisioPreferred Qualifications: MS/ MBA degree Dental experience 3+ years of experience managing projects and understanding of provider network management and/or operations in Healthcare Insurance Six Sigma Experience.
