The Human Resources Director is responsible for management and oversight of the HCPL's HR function including recruitment, benefits, compensation and job classification, staff relations, policies and procedures, and staff development. In order to be successful in this role, you need to be an effective leader with emotional intelligence who is capable of driving change within the organization. The HR Director provides vision and leads HR initiatives in support of the organization's strategy. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated successful supervisory skills and the ability to inspire and motivate staff to implement new initiatives. The Human Resources Director reports directly to the CEO. What it Takes . . .A forward-thinking, top-notch HR professional with the energy, enthusiasm, and experience to assess the current state and provide a vision and strategy for aligning HR's processes, systems and objectives with the organization's future needs. This requires comprehensive knowledge of HR laws, trends, and best practices, and the ability to identify and evaluate resources necessary to execute a plan of action that fosters a collaborative environment where staff members are energized by their work and respective accomplishments creating an amazing customer experience. Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be highly organized and able to manage priorities effectively. In addition you will need at least an undergraduate degree in Human Resources or related field from an accredited college/university. A graduate degree and/or a professional HR certification are highly preferred.
