Adjunct Faculty

Location: Multiple locations in the Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas

University of Maryland University College (UMUC) seeks adjunct faculty to teach in the Master of Business Administration Program. Specifically, we are looking for faculty to teach the following course:

MBA 640 - Innovation Through Marketing and Technology - 6 credits

Course outcomes: Critically examine technology systems and business processes in the organization. Complete a situation analysis of the organization, the environment, and customers. Organize tasks in a marketing plan, assess market risk and opportunity, and collect data required to implement the marketing plan. Develop revenues, cost projections and suitable metrics as well as a balanced scorecard for tracking the marketing plan.

Required Education and Experience:

  • · A terminal degree (i.e. PhD, JD, DBA) in business or a related field is required from an accredited institution of higher learning
  • · Professional experience in the areas of marketing management and information technology

  • · Provide rich and regular constructive feedback, utilizing rubrics effectively for the assessment of student work, and acknowledging student accomplishments.
  • · Demonstrate relevant and current subject-matter expertise, and help students connect concepts across their academic program.
  • · Provide feedback to your program chair on possible curricular improvements.
