Clinician in Day Rehabilitation Services
Community Connections' Day Rehabilitation Services Program (DSVC) is a skills training and motivation enhancement program that supports adults with serious mental illness (and often co-occurring substance use disorders) in their efforts to change lifestyle, overcome obstacles, and recover their lives. We believe people can recover and are capable of living independent satisfying lives, and we help them develop skills that will empower each individual to make positive life choices. Program participants work together in a variety of activities to gain or rebuild confidence and the skills necessary for living independently.
We seek a Clinician in Day Rehabilitation Services to join our program's small but strong and dynamic clinical team, who will run 2+ groups per day, conduct individual counseling on an as-needed basis, and provide other psychosocial, care coordination and/or community support services to program participants as needed. DVSC uses a highly interdependent teamwork approach to its service provision. Strong candidates will be emotionally mature, energetic, internally motivated, and value both teamwork and independent responsibility.
Minimum Requirements:Bachelors Degree with two years clinical experience working with adults with serious mental illness Strong consumer engagement and time management skills Excellent clinical documentation (writing) skills
Preferred Experience:Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling (with LGSW or LGPC) Group work (psycho-education and/or skills based)
