Bilingual Outreach and Social Media Marketing Specialist

Job Responsibilities & Duties : * Be fully bilingual/bicultural in both English and Spanish - fluent with native quality of proficiency in both languages. * The person should be able to write articles and edit other Spanish-language content writers. * The person should be able to run the email marketing program in Spanish. * Demonstrate the ability to effectively run and manage social media channels for a government client. * Be able to write social media messages and be responsible for monitoring/building communities & responding to questions on social media platforms. * Act as a Hispanic language, culture, and marketing consultant. * Demonstrate experience in public relations, media and marketing with a special understanding of the Hispanic media market and community. * Provide and grow a syndication network for Hispanic media that will place the platforms content on major Spanish language digital platforms. * Demonstrate experience pitching the media on both large and small scale campaigns. * Have already established relationships with members of the media. * Should be able to build new relationships with national and regional media contacts and grow syndication opportunities. * Be comfortable using all forms of communication to reach out to the media, including, but not limited to, email, telephone, and social media. * Responsible for taking ownership of Spanish channels in various social media channels (FB, Twitter, etc) * Cultivate and enhance collaborative working relationships with the media and publicity community and keep mailing lists current. * Demonstrate a strong understanding of, and stay up to date on, the latest marketing trends. * Be able to develop and implement marketing campaigns to promote government products and services. * Demonstrate strong writing and editing skills. * Have a strong understanding of email marketing tactics. * Be able to write compelling subject lines and informative email newsletters to draw readers to government products and services. * Create marketing materials including, but not limited to, social media messages, email newsletters, blog posts, press releases and news articles. * Be able to effectively promote programs and services through marketing and outreach campaigns. * Be able to review metrics from all campaigns and report on the results of each marketing campaign. Mandatory Job Requirements: * MUST BE eligible to work the United States via Citizenship, Green Card or Permanent Resident Status * Strong native Spanish and English fluency (written and oral communications). * Experience with Bilingual Outreach and Online Marketing, content management, journalism, writing, and editing. * Strong working knowledge publishing, editorial, and topic desks skills * Proficient in HTML, MS Office Suites (Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver), and CMS * Ability to communicate effectively both in written and spoken media. * Ability to do web research, interpret web metrics and promote community relations. * Ability to adjust quickly to a changing and agile environment. Desired Skills & Qualifications: * Prior background in media relations preferred. * Ability to draft messages and collaborate efficiently and Government tie-ins preferred.
