The purpose of this position it to  be responsible for the support, analysis, documentation, upgrades and disaster recovery process of mortgage applications and knowledge of the respective application server infrastructure. This position will also be involed in projects related to application software or infrastruction upgrades while ensuring company standards and policies are adhered to and identify risk within the mortgage application environment, acting as the project technical expert.

    Coloborate with a team on backlog of business requests, configuration optimization, and technical expertise with one or more core mortgage  applications. Perform in the role of  technical expert for assigned applications, acting as an internal consultant for all tasks in the analysis, design, testing and implementation of assignments. Identify and provide recommendations and solutions to meet business requirements and deadlines to various PenFed departments and teams. Ability to process multiple requests concurrently, quickly shifting priorities as required to meet changing business requirements, priorities and aggressive deadlines. Plan, create, coordinate, document and implement systems and enhancements which of an advanced and complex in nature. May serve as the point of contact for Mortgage applications, providing functional and technical support on complex assignments. Analyze  task and understand the impact of changes to technical and business-related areas, provide recommendations and solutions. Responsibile for all assigned tasks and is continuously self-challenged by setting and committing to aggressive interim deadlines. Provide training, mentoring, consulting and knowledge transfer to other staff members in support of specific assignments and departmental goals. Assist in defining future project direction with management to streamline development, systems, and operational procedures and functions and/or reduce development costs. Ensure Change Control and operational procedures are followed for all production-related changes. Assist with maintaining PenFed’s compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations and ordinances by abiding by PenFed compliance program and all policies, procedures, rules and regulations.

Education and Experience

Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.

    Bachelors degree or Advanced degree in Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience preferred. Minimum of fifteen (15) years  of experience in Information Technology required, minimum of five (5) years experience in application availability and production support experience required. Minimum of five (5) of experience with Mortgage LOS and/or Servicing systems is required FiServ Unifi, Nautilus, D+H MortgageBot, Java, VB .net, network systems experience preferred. 
 

Supervisory Responsibility

    This position will mentor and train employees.
 

Licenses and Certifications

    There are no additional certifications required.
 

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.
