Program Associate - Office of the Vice President for Global Engagement

Georgetown's Office of the Vice President for Global Engagement works with senior leadership, faculty and administrators across Georgetown's schools to develop new international programs and partnerships; to manage university-wide global initiatives; and to support the international dimension of teaching, research, and outreach activities across the university. The office maintains the Global Georgetown website.

The Program Associate (“PA”) supports programming and communications activities within the Office of the Vice President for Global Engagement. The PA is responsible for editing and content management for the Global Georgetown website; the administration of certain faculty and student grants programs; and the maintenance of the Georgetown Global Database.  Reporting to the Vice President for Global Engagement, the PA has duties that include but are not limited to:

Websites and Communications

  • Manages content and supports editing for the Georgetown Global website and the Georgetown Global Database.
  • Assists in raising awareness about the Office of the Vice President for Global Engagement's programs and activities through disseminating information through mailing lists, social media platforms, and other means of communication.
  • As directed, drafts event announcements, web materials, and other office publicity outreach, and assists with other publications and marketing efforts as needed.

Faculty and Student Grants Programs

  • Administers certain faculty and student grant programs - to include publicizing the grants programs, distributing application materials, coordinating a faculty selection committee, and monitoring and evaluating the awarded programs.


  • Assists in the supervision of 2 to 3 student workers.
