The System Administrator will be involved in evaluating, scheduling, and executing physical security patches, updates, upgrades, and changes at the customer site. In addition will be responsible for providing initial diagnostic troubleshooting and determining root cause of simple network and systems problems. Limited use and/or application of basic principles, theories, and concepts. Solves problems of limited scope and complexity.
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Performing or overseeing device programming and configuration changes requested by the client.
- Performing daily enterprise system checks and status checking of communication links.
- Documenting trouble tickets in ticketing system and ensuring tickets are closed as issues are resolved.
- Performing backups of databases on master and regional servers.
- Performing daily archiving of events, alarm acknowledgements, and user transactions.
- Reviewing the security system's database error log files to include check of integrity and size of database on all servers.
- Performing preventive maintenance as needed.
- Developing and completing preventive maintenance checklists.
- Ensuring Vulnerability Management System is updated as needed.
-. Assisting in maintenance calls relating to workstations, software, servers, servers, communications, badging, alarm monitoring, etc.
- Performing and documenting warranty research to ensure all equipment warranties are appropriate and valid.
- Spending time each week staying current on industry trends and available products and services as workload permits.

-MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
-MS SharePoint
-MS Windows Server/Workstation
-Trouble Ticketing Software
-Imaging software, system backup software, and antivirus software
-Adobe Standard/Acrobat
-Small hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, socket set, crimper)

Job Requirements:
- TS/SCI Clearance is required.
- 3+ years of experience
-Strong troubleshooting capability with large complex IT systems
- Knowledgeable in IT terminology and best practices
- Proficient supporting desktop and network equipment
- Ability to accurately log incident tickets in Remedy ITSM software
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to generate procedural documentation for the various systems of which the IT system is comprised.
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter
- Ability to reset local and network passwords, add and remove users
- Aptitude and willingness to learn information technology support functions and processes
Specific desired experience, skills and certifications are as follows:

- Vendor IT Certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, etc.)
- CompTIA Security+
- Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/etc.)
- Valid driver's license

Formal Training as follows:
- Professional-Level Certifications;
- Bachelor of Science in a technical engineering or IT degree preferred.
Candidates need to be able to achieve IAT Level III baseline certification so CASP, CISA, CISSP, GCED or GCIH is required.
