Graduate Assistant, Sponsored Programs
â€¢Assists in keeping office website updated and includes interactive and multimedia elements;
â€¢Assists in reviewing and editing policies and procedures and office standard operating practices;
â€¢Assists in researching funding databases for grants that might interest faculty and staff;
â€¢Reviews funded sponsored programs/grants and assists in securing data/information from Principal Investigators demonstrating their project is on-track to meet goals and objectives;
â€¢Assists in the set-up of new grant accounts with the OSP Director and Financial Affairs;
â€¢Assists in project tracking to ensure effective project management of externally-funded projects.
University required minimum qualifications:
â€¢ You must be accepted into Marymount as a graduate student
â€¢ You must be registered for at least 6 graduate credits during any semester in which you are awarded a GA position.
â€¢ For current students, graduate GPA must be at least 3.0. For entering graduate students, undergraduate GPA must be at least 3.0.
â€¢ Experience with website development and/or maintenance
â€¢ Experience with using the internet to quickly find information for written material
â€¢ Excellent writing and proofreading skills
â€¢Experience with budgeting or accounting preferred
â€¢Experience with MS Word and Excel formulas
â€¢Strong skills in time management, managing multiple projects, and attention to detail
â€¢Students enrolled full-time are given preference over part-time.
â€¢Strong skills in research, writing, and interpersonal communication.
â€¢Initiative and ability to work independently, including creative problem solving.
â€¢Good computer skills (word, excel, powerpoint); familiar with webpage design and editing.
â€¢Excellent attention to detail.
