SPECIAL EDUCATION &INCLUSION TEACHER:BILINGUAL
Special Education & Inclusion Teacher: Bilingual Mundo Verde Bilingual PCS, Washington, DC, seeks one to work in collaboration with lead classroom teachers to plan and support students, across grade bands, w/Individual Education Plans (IEP). Manage a caseload of students by developing ind. profile for each student using existing assessment data and informal testing and observation and ensuring that general education staff have copies of the IEP-at-a-Glance form listing goals, accommodations, and modifications. Provide continuum of special ed. instructional opportunities for students to work one-on-one, in small groups, and as a class both outside and inside the general education classroom as indicated by IEP and co- teach in classrooms as appropriate, in support of the general education curriculum. Monitor and support implementation of goals in inclusion classes, collaborate with related service providers and monitor service delivery, monitor behavior intervention plans (BIPs), and provide accommodation/modification support. Req: Fluency in Spanish + Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or foreign equivalent + min. 3 years’ experience as an Early Childhood Education teacher.
