Job Description:
Sentara Heart Hospital is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse Transplant Coordinator to work with our ventricular assist device program.

Sentara Heart Hospital, on the Sentara Norfolk General campus, offers the Hampton Roads region's only heart transplant program, including total artificial hearts and ventricular assist devices as bridges to transplant and permanent therapy. In 2016, Sentara Heart has introduced two newly-approved cardiac technologies; the world's smallest pacemaker and the world's first dissolvable heart stent. The region's first and only dedicated heart hospital is unlike any facility within hundreds of miles. Sentara Heart Hospital has all-private rooms, including 112 inpatient beds, 62 pre/post procedural rooms for patients undergoing interventional cardiac procedures and several outpatient cardiac clinics.

Coordinates the clinical management of the transplant/VAD patient including the transplant/VAD evaluation, the transplant/VAD process and follow-up care. Provides clinical leadership to care team members, allowing staff to plan, direct, manage outcomes and evaluate care.

Education Level
Bachelor's Level Degree - NURSING

Experience
Required: Related - 3 years
