JOB SUMMARY:

About the Agency

The Motor Vehicle Operator is located in the Transportation Unit, Logistics Services Division, Integrated Support Services (ISS), and Office of the Chief Operating Officer at the Library of Congress. The position reports directly to the Motor Vehicle Supervisor. This unit provides transportation support to all Library Staff. The purpose and function of this position is to operate all types of vehicles in the Library's transportation fleet, to include cars, vans, buses, and light/heavy duty trucks, to transport Library Staff and government documents and property to designated locations.
The position description number for this position is 9852.

The incumbent of this position will work a flexitime work schedule.

The salary range indicated reflects the locality pay adjustments for the Washington, D.C., Metropolitan area.

This is a non-supervisory, bargaining unit position.

Relocation expenses are not authorized for the person(s) selected under this vacancy announcement.

Proof of a CURRENT and valid State issued Driver's License and Commercial Driver's License MUST be provided with the application. OFFICIAL DRIVING RECORD WILL BE REQUIRED IF SELECTED.
