The IT Support Services department is seeking a full time Support Analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting over the phone and desk side for PC/Mac desktops and laptops, printers and audio visual equipment, printers and audio visual equipment; installing, configuring and maintaining computer hardware and software; setting up and tearing down audio visual equipment for classroom or special events; researching technical issues; documenting troubleshooting processes and solutions; maintaining inventory of technology equipment.
Support responsibilities include all university locations (e.g. main campus, Ballston center, Reston center).
Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer hardware troubleshooting; computer software troubleshooting; basic understanding of audio visual devices and components; printer troubleshooting; excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; customer service experience, over the phone and in person; basic understanding of network infrastructure; problem solving and research skills; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
