Supervisory Management Analyst
This position is part of the Pentagon Force Protection Agency, located in Arlington, VA (Pentagon).
The position is located in the PFPA and serves as the Director for Mission Integration. The position reports directly to and is under the general supervision of the Deputy Director, PFPA. The position is responsible for initiating and overseeing the formulation of alternatives on a broad range of activities, to include: facilities, acquisitions, and logistics services; policy analysis; recruitment, medical, and fitness; financial management; and human capital program management. The position serves as a principle advisor to the Director of PFPA on key management and organizational matters.
The mission of the Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA) is to provide force protection, security, and law enforcement, as required for the people, facilities, infrastructure and other resources at the Pentagon Reservation and Department of Defense (DoD) activities and DoD-leased facilities not under the jurisdiction of a Military Department within the National Capital Region (NCR) (hereinafter referred to as "the Pentagon Facilities"). This includes addressing the full spectrum of potential threats through robust prevention, preparedness, detection, and response measures. PFPA uses an integrated approach to perform its critical mission, bringing together functions such as chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear detection and response, law enforcement, physical security, anti-terrorism/force protection, and surveillance detection. PFPA operates in an environment that requires close coordination between multiple local, state and Federal agencies.

You may qualify at the GS-15 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates your ability to interpret and implement local and higher echelon policies and regulations; direct the development, revision, and administration of management action programs to control and promote the improvement of management efforts; apply law enforcement and security knowledge in civilian arena; and supervise and evaluate administrative personnel.
There is no substitution of education for specialized experience for the GS-15 level.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- The employee must obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance.
- This position is designated as Drug Testing Required. The employee is subject to random urinalysis testing in accordance with guidelines.
- The employee assigned to this position is designated as a MISSION CRITICAL EMPLOYEE. Mission Critical employees may be required to report for, or remain at, work in dismissal or closure situations due to adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, or other emergency situations (e.g., building closure due to power outage) causing disruptions of government operations, and are required to maintain contact with their supervisor during any dismissal or closure situation unless specifically excused by their supervisor.
