This position is located in the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH), Office of Communication and Education (OCE), Division of Health Communication.

For the Public Health Advisor, GS-0685-12

You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in Federal service, which includes experience assisting in the development of educational/informational public health programs and communications for use by the general public; recommending communications techniques in order to reach target audiences; researching and consolidating social science research and other technical or scientific information into public education materials; and preparing a variety of reports, slides, websites, exhibits, or other communications pieces intended for the general public. 

For the Public Health Advisor, GS-0685-13

You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in Federal service, which includes experience developing risk communications related to public health issues intended for use by the general public; coordinating multidisciplinary groups (to include scientists, researchers, and professional health-related organizations) for the purpose of building consensus or agreement on health-related issues; and evaluating the effectiveness or accuracy of existing communication strategies for public health/safety initiatives and issues.

Conditions of Employment: 

  1.
